Our Aims

The Canterbury Society, as with other New Zealand Societies, is a volunteer - based organisation dedicated to assisting all persons with gastrointestinal or urinary diversions by providing emotional support, experienced and practical help, instructional and informal services through it's membership, to the family, personal caregivers, friends and interested persons to increase their understanding of the conditions and adjustments which are necessary for achieving a satisfactory standard of life with a stoma.
